If there is a secondary school in your area it is almost certainly full of young people who know little or nothing about Jesus. A Check it Out schools' week can help you reach them.

A Check it Out school's week features Taste and the Viz-A-Viz Ministries Creative Arts team who have gifts, skills and experience in reaching out to young people.

The week can include a full and varied timetable of lessons along with entertaining assemblies and lunch-time concerts. All of these can involve setting up their PA, lighting and large-screen projection equipment which offer schools high quality professional standard presentations on various subjects relevant to the school curriculum.

It culminates in an evening concert where the Gospel is presented and young people are invited to discover more about Jesus.

Spending a week in school(s) enables pupils to get to know the Check it Out team and the message so that they are more likely to come along to a final evening concert, normally held in the school, where there is an opportunity for those interested to take the next step.

We would therefore recommend that it is followed by the Check it Out discovery course.

Duration

The team like to spend a week in one school but where this is not possible a number of schools can be visited over the week. The final concert, normally on a Friday evening, lasts for two hours and we recommend that refreshments are served during an interval half way through the concert.

We would recommend the main school hall for maximum attendance. Alternatively a town hall / leisure facility can be used quite effectively.
A church hall could be used but usually attracts lower numbers.

A minimum stage area or platform of 6m x 4m is required.

Viz-A-Viz Media provide high quality flyers and posters that we can offer you at a very reasonable cost. These need overprinting with event details which you can send to Joy Clark.

The ministry gift suggested will be dependant upon the level of involvment of the team. Additionally, travel costs will need to be covered.
