COURSE REQUIREMENTS

i) Commitment of one evening per week for 12 weeks

ii) A small amount of personal study; Involvement in evangelistic projects/initiatives

iii) The cost of the course is £150

i) Commitment
We hope that you will be passionate about being able to share your faith, even though you may feel poorly equipped to do so. Having completed the course we anticipate that you will continue
to use the gifts, skills and confidence you have discovered in ongoing work in your local church and/or surrounding area.

ii) Personal study
As part of the training programme, you will receive a workbook. It is anticipated that you may wish to make additional notes, and there will be some study required in between each training
session, however this should only be a maximum of half an hour to an hour per week. An example of this would be keeping a reflective journal of your experience and learning. It is hoped that a church leader will be able to support you in this aspect of the programme, depending on your personal study skills.

iii) Finance
The cost of the course is £150. This will cover all the training materials, speaker fees and venue, as well as contribute towards the administration of the programme.

HOW COULD YOUR CHURCH SUPPORT YOU AND BECOME INVOLVED?

i) Discovering appropriate projects through which you can develop your skills and gifts, working with you to find a way to put these into practise

ii) Encouragement and pastoral support

iii) Assist you to cover the costs of the training

i) Developing projects
Learning about sharing your faith in theory is only one part of the challenge, the next one is to put those skills into practise. You or your church will have new or existing projects that would benefit
from the skills you will be learning, so it is our aim that you begin to become more involved or even initiate some of these projects.

ii) Encouragement and pastoral support
We see this programme as a journey for you, which will be unique in flavour according to your gifting and the needs of your church. It is essential therefore that you are well supported
throughout. We would recommend that you seek a regular meeting with a designated church leader.

iii) Covering Costs
Where possible we would like your church to be offering their support to you for this course, by making a contribution towards the costs of the programme. However we leave you to discuss
this with your church leadership.

THE TRAINERS

Dennis Pethers Dennis Pethers is the General Director of Viz-A-Viz Ministries. As an evangelist and Bible teacher Dennis travels extensively across the United Kingdom and all over the world.
Sheila Martin Sheila Martin is a Baptist minister from Liverpool. She is now Regional Minister for Mission Resourcing for the Eastern Baptist Association.
Mike Simmonds Mike Simmonds is the Director of Evangelism for Viz-A-Viz Ministries. Mike is involved with training, preaching and evangelistic presentations working with individual churches and town wide events.
